SweetTalk is an informal presentation series featuring some of the world’s most interesting creatives. It showcases the talented stars of SweetTalk NYC, which was presented by Candy magazine and Veer.

I was discussing these videos last night with a friend and remembered just how good they are! The designers featured are Michael Place, Glen Friedman & Michael Gillette.

Michael Gillette shows off some of his work and briefly details his past, it’s interesting and again some really interesting stuff on show, he talk about his beginnings & how he came to move over to the states.

Glen Friedman is a photographer, his motivation & commitment alone is inspirational. He talks at length about how his surroundings; music, politics, skateboarding etc influence(d) what he does.

Place is a british graphic designer & swiss typography/Helvetica nut he’s very talented, witty and has a lot of interesting self-initiated projects. In the talk he details his creative process and what makes him tick, as a graphic designer myself this was probably the video i related to the most… All of these vids are worth a watch, these clips aren’t exactly new but the content is timeless!

If your into Veers (fantastic) free stuff or you enjoyed these podcasts then I would recommend you check out their free catalogues. They are used a sampler for their new typefaces / stock photography but more than that they are really nice pieces of design and there is an extensive back-catalogue to boot!
