This is behavior befitting a Windows user, or on the rare occasion (when you can find someone that isn't full of B$) that of a Linux user. Honestly, if you are going to do anything different, it'd be to switch platforms, but why reformat? It serves no purpose for the Mac user, since everything looks the same ALL THE TIME. Don't get me wrong, the Mac interface is great, but other than changing OSes I could see no reason for a "reformat" for you. I have never seen a Mac user decide to “reformat”.
