Southsea Skatepark 30th Birthday

It’s time to dust off that skateboard and head down to Southsea because this weekend is the skateparks 30th birthday! One of Englands first parks and still some of the best concrete in the uk.

If you can’t make it check out Bored of Southsea the local skateshop, it’s an awesome shop supported by some big names – eS, Carhart & ILD to name a few and more to the point they are driving force in keeping the park alive.

Design Ignites Change

Design Ignites Change

I came across this via iLT and it’s the latest in the series of posters promoting social change through design. This is an awesome piece of typography, laser cut on white paper.

Apart from it’s obvious beauty this piece is truley an inspiration. I think design can bring change, i’m fortunate enough to work with a company that is passionate about it’s charity work and get to work closely with a variety of charitys on all sorts of campaigns. If every designer picked up a pen/tablet/mouse and did one of these a year the world would surely be a better place.
